Description and Requirements

The Lenovo Commercial Product Center (CPC) is looking to hire a Cost Manager to focus on our Workstation business.  In this role, you will be responsible for leading cross functional teams for End-2-End product cost managment.  Acting as a project manager for strategic projects, you'll work with engineers, marketing, procurement, and project management teams to ensure that we deliver a product that is balanced in features, build quality, and cost, translating into lower prices for the customer.  The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of corporate strategy and build up strategy to project and action plan.  

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage Marketing Requirements, Technology Capabilities, Launch, Cost, Price and Business Objective Requirements to optimize the deliverable definition
  • Create the end-to-end project master schedule, resource plan and budget with multiple functional team input
  • Commit product definition, cost and quality, project expense and schedule to meet business objectives and customer satisfaction
  • Drive new product design to cost, manage new part cost target setting and cost approval within project key milestones
  • Manage product Cost Simulation of business case and cost transition roadmap to support product investment decision making and product transition
  • Keep monitoring cost trend in product lifecycle and driving cost competitiveness through product change management process
  • Lead Cost competitiveness study vs. competitors’
  • Ensure Product Cost readiness in system & necessary data analysis

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in related field
  • 5+ years of relevant project management experience within an enterprise organization
  • 3+ years of experience with cost/benefit analyses and Global Pricing models
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP Certification
  • Previous experience in Procurement
  • Strong negotiation, technical, project management, and presentation skills
