Description and Requirements

Position Description:

  • Provides legal support to ISG PRC business teams and act as an interface and liaison to ISG for other corporate legal functions such as litigation, IP, ethics and compliance, data privacy, marketing, contracting center of excellence and government relations as well as regional legal teams.
  • Provides analysis and counsel on legal and commercial issues to include: product development and new products compliance, quality, mergers & acquisitions, regulatory and compliance issues, non-disclosure agreements, master sales and services agreements, procurement agreements and license and royalty agreements.
  • Supports critical contract negotiations and disputes with suppliers, vendors and customers.
  • Assists with the development and recommendation of company policy and position on legal issues.
  • Serves as lawyer/legal advisor point of contact for major business transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures.
  • Understands and keeps abreast of the market and regulatory changes, and their risk impact on the ISG PRC Business.
  • Supports the selection, retention, management and evaluation of outside counsel.

Position Requirements:

  • Full-time university bachelor's degree or above, overseas study experience is preferred.
  • Qualified lawyer with at least 6 years PQE, IDC industry preferred
  • Good written & spoken communication skills, superior negotiation skills both in Chinese & English
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating outsourcing and long-term service arrangements and technology contracts. 
  • Understanding of public procurement best practice & understanding of the specific procurement needs of the IT industry and ability to adopt pragmatic commercial solutions to issues.
  • Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions, experience in product compliance and regulatory matters.
  • Ability to work autonomously, taking accountability without a huge team behind them.
  • Ability to work in a highly charged fast moving environment.
  • Technologically savvy (i.e., IT industry and international experience is a plus).
