Description and Requirements

Roles and responsibilities

Lenovo’s quality team is currently seeking a customer quality defect team lead for our workstation and notebook devices.

In this position you will be performing failure analysis on customer defects, providing issue resolution, and implementing future product improvements.

You will be working with a global team and global customer base.

Responsibilities:

Assign defects to engineers for resolution

Work with engineers to drive timely resolution of the defects

Perform failure analysis of product defects

Drive future product improvements

Perform onsite customer investigation as needed

Key Interaction with:

Service L2 Support

Customer Quality Engineering

Product Quality Engineering

Development L4 Support

Development Product Assurance


Basic Requirements:

5+ years of analog/digital circuit or software debug

Bilingual English / Japanese

PC hardware and software troubleshooting skills

Strong analytical, problem solving and strategic abilities

Strong verbal and written communication

Strong attention to detail

Flexibility to work some evening hours

Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as needed

Team player attitude with the ability to work proactively & autonomously

Preferred Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree

Experience with debug equipment like oscilloscope, multi-meter, etc.

Project Management experience
