Description and Requirements
We seek a strategic Senior Finance Manager to lead financial operations for our fast-growing Device-as-a-Service (DaaS) business within DWS (Digital Workplace Solutions). You will partner with Operations, Sales, and Technology teams to drive profitability, optimize pricing, and ensure scalable financial processes for our subscription-based hardware lifecycle solutions. This role is critical to scaling our DaaS offerings globally.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy:
Own P&L management for DaaS portfolios, including revenue recognition, COGS, margin analysis, and unit economics.
Develop pricing models for DaaS solutions (hardware, software, services bundling) balancing competitiveness and profitability.
Lead forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning for DaaS revenue streams and operational expenses.
Operational Partnership:
Collaborate with Sales, Sales Ops, Service Delivery and Supply Chain teams to model device lifecycle costs (procurement, logistics, refresh, end-of-life recovery).
Analyze device utilization, refresh cycles, and service incident data to identify cost optimization opportunities.
Support contract negotiations with clients and OEM partners through financial modeling and risk assessment.
Performance Management:
Track and report KPIs: CAC, LTV, Churn, Device ROI, Service Margin, Renewal Rates.
Drive monthly/quarterly business reviews with operational leaders, providing actionable insights.
Build dashboards to monitor portfolio health (e.g., revenue leakage, cost-to-serve trends).
Process & Compliance:
Ensure accurate revenue recognition for complex DaaS contracts (multi-element arrangements).
Strengthen controls for inventory accounting, lease accounting (IFRS 16/ASC 842), and SOX compliance.
Optimize billing, invoicing, and AR processes for subscription models.
Team Development:
Mentor 1-2 financial analysts supporting the DaaS portfolio.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA/ACCA preferred.
8+ years in finance/FP&A, with 3+ years in subscription/SaaS, managed services, or leasing.
Expertise in revenue recognition standards and P&L management.
Advanced Excel; proficiency with SAP and BI tools
Proven ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders (Operations, Sales, IT).
Experience in hardware lifecycle management, IT asset disposition, or reverse logistics.
Knowledge of DaaS market dynamics (e.g., HP, Lenovo, Dell solutions).
Familiarity with lease accounting (ASC 842/IFRS 16).
