About Our Team

Lenovo is looking for a Software Engineer to join our Data Platform team. We are creating a modern data platform that collects data from all Lenovo business areas and provides a near real-time single source of truth that enables a consistent answer/data every time. Our objective is the right data for the right action at the right time!

The team is responsible for implementing, enhancing, and operating key business systems as well as integrating those systems with our data platform.

An ideal candidate understands the nature of critical business applications, the capabilities of those systems, and what they provide to a holistic back-office ecosystem. They will have an effective combination of business acumen and technical skills, a passion for learning, and a solid computer science foundation.


Scope of Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop enterprise system integrations, APIs, and custom applications
  • Lead the development team and convert the low-level design to high-quality implementation and deliverables
  • Identify dependencies and identify implementation gaps with multiple teams to ensure that the end-to-end solution is scalable, secure, extensible, and maintainable
  • Convey your development decisions to teams spread in multiple locations and time zones
  • Work with the Product Manager, Program Manager, and Scrum Master to review, groom and size the backlog items for each release
  • Set code quality standards, high automation coverage, secure coding practices, and best standard practices for CI/CD
  • Review pull requests to ensure high standards, consistency, and durability of the implementation
  • Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate resolution with operations, functional, and technical teams

Basic Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree with 5years of Full stack developer experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an enterprise integrations development role.
  • Strong programming background experience in Python and related open source libraries with a sense of delivering it with a high quality.
  • Strong experience in implementing and delivering end to end full stack project.
  • Skills Required:
    • Must have- Python(preferred), JavaScript, CSS, Java, Basic SQL, Git
    • Good to have – Django, React Js, Elastic search, SpringBoot, MS Azure, Tailwind CSS 
  • Must have delivered end-to-end solution is scalable, secure, extensible, and maintainable using best standard practices for CI/CD
  • Strong demonstrable experience designing and developing large scale Cloud Native, Microservices based SaaS/PaaS applications
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to triage technical issues and drive resolution with cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate across the enterprise and with partners globally
