Position Description:
Are you a High-Performance Data Management Sales Specialist? Do you love parallel file systems and GPU and performance accelerated data?
Lenovo is drastically enhancing its Data Management products portfolio and is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Technical Salesperson to drive our High-Performance Data Management Solutions.
You will be accountable for revenue and profit objectives within your client across Asia Pacific, for developing and executing a sales pipeline of opportunities within your existing clients, as well as for developing new prospects into clients in close collaboration with Lenovo’s sales teams in these countries. As a true business development role – you will also focus on developing key skills of HPC focused partners, and enabling Lenovo sales team to help expand the pipeline across AP.
For our Asia Pacific Region, we are looking for a Hunter/Builder who can fulfil these roles:
- Meet with customers and partners to educate them on the technical aspects of high-performance file systems
- Building a future pipeline of new business within aligned territories
- Build technical solutions working with the wider specialist product and technical community, the sales teams and business partners
- Engage with WW HPC team to help accurately communicate Lenovo HPC value proposition to customers
- Build and deliver technical product and architecture presentations and demos
- Keeping customers up to date with new technologies and innovations relevant to their industry
- Defining and identifying high performance data management projects in the coming quarters by acting as a trusted advisor to key partners and customers
- Contribute, structure or lead responses to FRPs, RFQs, and RFIs

Position Requirements:
- Extensive filesystems system background
- Experience with NFS and distributed parallel file systems such as Lustre, Spectrum scale and POSIX
- Strong Linux OS knowledge
- Familiarity with IO workloads in AI/ML, HPC, EDA, and/or Life Science
- Experience with performance demonstrations and analysis
- Experience with cloud environments and concepts - an advantage
- Scripting abilities - an advantage
- Demonstrate a broad understanding of trends & technologies for storage solutions from Storage leaders
- Able to create and present Lenovo technical solutions to senior level clients within the customer and clearly articulate the technical value proposition to the customer
- Commercial awareness of the local Competitive Market, business partner objectives and the customer industry environment, preferably in the external storage market and hyperscale cloud industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English language, Asian language is a plus
- Previous experience in the areas of HPC and AI is mandatory
- Datacenter networking understanding
Organization:
You will report to the Director of Data Management APJ and participate in weekly collaborative planning calls and meetings.
