Chief of Staff to the Business President
The Chief of Staff will have an immediate and meaningful impact by aligning global and local leadership to drive strategic initiatives and optimize business operations. This role requires extensive experience in matrixed organizations, strategic planning, and implementing productivity initiatives. The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to work cross-functionally across multiple departments to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
This is a Director level role that will help run a multi-billion dollar business. As this role supports the business President, travel will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership Coordination
Plan, organize, and facilitate leadership team meetings, including critical executive reviews and decision-making sessions. - Performance Monitoring
Collaborate with leadership to deliver, track, and communicate progress toward key strategic goals, ensuring accountability and alignment. - Transition and M&A Leadership
Oversee and lead transition activities related to strategic partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, and other business ventures. - Communication and Relationship Building
Establish and maintain consistent communication channels and strong relationships with extended global and local leadership teams. - Risk Mitigation and Problem Solving
Identify potential strategic challenges or risks in advance, enabling proactive solutions that ensure seamless business progression. - Strategic Insight and Support
Provide critical inputs to business strategy and own assessments that shape organizational priorities. - Cross-Functional Integration
Drive integration efforts across the company, especially in response to acquisitions or structural changes, to ensure cohesion and operational efficiency.
Position Requirements
- Educational Background
Bachelor’s degree or higher, with expertise in cloud, software, services, or solutions preferred. - Professional Experience
- 10+ years of experience leading complex, global technology or business initiatives, ideally within a service-centric or delivery-oriented environment.
- Proven ability to navigate and succeed in a matrixed organizational structure.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
Expertise in leveraging data, experience, and strategic insights to shape actionable solutions amidst ambiguity. - Interpersonal and Leadership Skills
Strong relationship-building abilities, with a track record of influencing and collaborating with senior executives and cross-functional teams. - Industry Insight
Passion for analyzing industry trends, understanding competitive landscapes, and benchmarking key business models and leadership approaches. - Execution Excellence
Demonstrated capability to execute with attention to detail, results-driven focus, and innovative problem-solving approaches.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or a Master’s degree in a technology-related field.
- Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) is a significant advantage.
