Description and Requirements

The eCommerce Digital Marketing Director is responsible for the end-to-end execution of digital-led marketing programs including, but not limited to, paid media, paid social, content partnerships, email, SEM, direct mail, and sales collateral.  Working closely with campaign planners and marketing budget operations, this role will lead the strategy, design, and execution of the digital marketing media mix.

The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated demand generation experience. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, agencies, as well as other internal groups to develop and execute campaigns and evaluate results. The eCommerce Digital Marketing Director will be part of a collaborative, creative, and metrics-based team whose goal is to increase marketing performance and revenue. The position will drive the lifecycle engagement through relevant contact, messaging, and strategies to deliver offers to the market. The individual must be a self-starter, have strong strategic agility, and be able to take projects from strategy through to execution with high attention to detail coupled with innovative thinking.

  • Define marketing strategy and develop programs to drive traffic to and revenue on to support ecommerce promotional, merchandising and sales cadence
  • Develop a comprehensive demand generation plan across multiple channels to drive sales and ensure revenue growth for the company
  • Drive strategic development of customer journey planning, audience segmentation, marketing technology stack, media planning and buying strategies, and reporting and analytics
  • Translate weekly, seasonal and quarterly business objectives into marketing objectives, strategies and tactics for internal Demand Center and external partners (e.g. agency, vendor)
  • Work cross functionally with groups within- and outside of- marketing across segments (Consumer & Small Business), routes to market (affinity programs, public web, inside sales), and other supporting functions (marketing operations, MarTech, analytics)
  • Plan, execute and measure experiments and conversion tests
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience
  • Ensure best use of budget allocations across assigned projects/campaigns
  • Evaluate tactical performance in alignment with core marketing and business priorities
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
  • Identify areas to improve efficiency across digital 
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
  • Actively manage team bandwidth and workload to ensure balance
  • Manage agency relationships and alignment to SOW
  • Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
  • Develop marketing success criteria, with tracking & readout against goals done on a weekly basis
  • Collaborate with NA Consumer Marketing team to execute ecommerce-focused campaigns that leverage and build upon their product and brand campaign activations
  • Collaborate with WW Demand Generation team members in North America and other global regions on marketing channel strategy and activation
  • Adapt global marketing assets for use against targeted consumer &small business audiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant field.  MBA preferred
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in a digital marketing
  • Team management a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, best practices, and website analytics
  • High creativity and excellent analytical capability
  • Strong project management and process orientation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ideal candidate would be a resourceful, self-motivated individual willing to be flexible and adapt to changing requirements when needed
  • Candidates must have strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Background in marketing principles, and experience with database management, email marketing, marketing automation systems, and CRM systems, preferred
  • Up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in digital marketing
