Description and Requirements

We are looking for an ambitious, highly motivated leader for the EMEA Mid-Market sales team, which is a core growth engine for the Lenovo EMEA business.

To be successful in this role  you need to have experience of:

  • leading a data driven sales engine that is highly reliant on digital engagement
  • achieving stretching goals for new business growth across multiple sales teams that are dispersed across multiple countries.

We are a complex matrix organisation so, from your experiences and leadership roles, you must be able to demonstrate that you have the inter-personal skills to influence senior leaders and stakeholders, combined with the determination to succeed.  

Working with your team of sales managers, you need to bring the mid-market teams together under a common vision and strategy and motivate them to achieve the ambitious goals for revenue, profit, market share, and new account growth. You must be passionate about people development as you will be accountable for identifying key talent; developing selling skills across the team; working with peers across other teams to provide career pathways into and out of the mid-market team.

Your Key Responsibilities

Business Management

  • Full accountability for defining and achieving EMEA Mid-Market business results (Revenue, Margin, Market Share, Account Growth) and achieving agreed goals
  • Formulation, communication, and execution of the Mid-Market vision and strategy
  • Capability to drive the sales team to sell the full Lenovo portfolio to mid-market customers
  • Development of the Mid Market operating model to embrace & utilise analytics and digital selling techniques

Business Model

  • Develop and maintain the mid-market blueprint and key success measures covering business performance, data provision, market coverage and talent development for EMEA
  • Ensure efficient execution of the blueprint against key model success indicators approve variations where business critical for each market
  • Develop and maintain a trust relationship with senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Define and implement E2E mid-market Sales processes
  • Ensure all enablement process are in place and effective: product, pricing, marketing , sales enablement, IT, sales plans and model buy in from relevant functions
  • Set and manage sales plans, targets and validate target deployment
  • Develop and maintain relationship with key Alliances (ie Intel and Microsoft)
  • Foster strong customer relationship


  • Maintain tight control of organizational execution
  • Work with HR to ensure HR process are adapted for a Sales Center type environment
  • Continuous optimization of organization and set up rework where needed
  • Develop best in class telesales force with focus on high performance leadership team

Position Requirements:

  • Proven leadership of end user and /or channel senior sales management across multiple teams in multiple locations
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with senior leaders across multiple functions
  • Strategic planning and communicate long term vision and execution of short term plans
  • Strong leadership skills to collaborate and influence buy in and support across Lenovo stakeholders, channel partners and suppliers to manage profitable business.
  • Project Management capabilities to drive continuous model improvement
  • Strong understanding of analytics capabilities
  • Experience and high comfort-level in working in a global, high demanding and heavily matrixed environment
  • Experienced in people and people development
