Description and Requirements

Lenovo, like many companies, is undergoing a significant enhancement of our Marketing & Sales infrastructure.  As we move forward with this transformation, we will invest a significant amount of time with our stakeholders to deliver the changes to technology and processes in a manner that will not disrupt their need to deliver on business results.   The role of the Marketing & Sales Transformation team is to help lead the business in this transformation effort.

In the role of Director, M&S Transformation Technology and Architecture Lead, you will be integral to the successful delivery of the Transformation program.  The transformation is a complex project with stakeholders in sales, marketing, finance, procurement, accounting and alliances.  The lead role will be required to partner with the rest of the M&S team to work in a deeply collaborative fashion with many stakeholders and across many integrated project workstreams.  A deep understanding of marketing & sales processes would be highly beneficial for the candidate who fills this role.

In addition to strong collaborative skills, strong communication skills are essential.  The ability to grasp and logically solve complex logistics and planning issues is a compelling asset for the person in this role.  The ability to work across multiple BGs  Business Groups and functions but still understand the essential processes which must be supported within marketing transformation will be key to success in the role. 

Lenovo is looking for an experienced Transformation lead to not only drive the end-to-end delivery of applications and capabilities being developed on the core technical platform, but also to be the voice of M&S Transformation for Lenovo.  This role entails understanding how transformation can change the way we execute the front-end, how that change impacts our existing processes and teams, and the inherent business value associated with the change. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical ability, excellent project management skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

They are responsible for delivering platform solutions and will work closely with the program managers to coordinate technical efforts and operational processes. Finally, they will be responsible for ensuring timely, complete, and on-budget delivery of platform technology projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with broader M&S transformation team to provide guidance, develop and implement long-term strategies and objectives for Technology that supports the company’s vision, mission and values and long-term objectives. .  Ensures that technology is relevant, supports revenue generation initiatives and is scalable and robust. 
  • Ensure the planning, execution, deliverables and quality assurance of all services or products acquired through consultants or 3rd parties meets or exceeds standards.
  • Create and effectively use performance measurements to quantify and benchmark technology productivity, effectiveness and customer service levels.
  • Identify emerging technologies, assess their applicability to the business needs and develop proposals on applying new technology solutions to take advantage of new business opportunities.
  • Continuously improve technology costs through the application of new tools, processes, practices and outsourcing.

Technical Competencies

  • Ability to relate efficient and effective systems solutions to diverse and complex business/technical problems.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
  • Ability to navigate multiple stakeholders, platforms and communities to ensure that strategies/goals are understood and met.
  • Experience with regular reporting, collaborative strategic planning and ongoing campaign optimization.
  • Experience in Lenovo’s key platforms: Dynamics, Adobe AEM, Anaplan, and Marketo
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
