Description and Requirements


The Director of Product Management for Lenovo Smart Buildings will be an experienced product management leader tasked with managing the global end-to-end portfolio of smart building and workplace solutions for Lenovo Industry Solutions Unit. This leader will work with customers, partners, sales teams, and product managers to determine solution requirements and define offerings. The Director of Product Manager will require partnering with Lenovo’s operations, engineering, hardware, software, and services teams to identify and create the building blocks of those offerings along with defining market opportunities, setting offering value propositions, making key trade-off decisions, setting pricing, developing business cases, and deciding offering configurations. To ensure the success of these solutions in the market, it will also be important to partner with GTM and delivery teams.

Role Capabilities:

This role requires formal product management expertise, a passion for new technologies, and an entrepreneurial spirit.  The successful candidate will have experience in the Smart Building and Workplace technology market managing complex products and be comfortable finding novel solutions to both customer problems and internal process challenges.   The person must have very strong communication and organization skills. They should have a proven ability to work with global customers and manage a team of product managers.

  

Role Requirements:

  • 7+ years in a product/portfolio management
  • 4+ years experience in building or workplace solutions
  • Previous team leadership and management experience
  • Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin) is a plus
  • Prior experience with software, services, or complex offerings
  • Undergraduate degree in a business or technical field; post-graduate degree is a plus
