Description and Requirements

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Display Engineer with expertise in display optical, electrical, and structure design including module outline dimension. As a member of our Strategic Technology Team, you will design, develop, and optimize new display, focusing on innovative technologies and display commonality. You are responsible for executing Proof-of-Concept (PoC) projects to evaluate emerging technologies and provide PoC summary and design recommendation for system integration. You are also responsible for communicating with stakeholders and finalizing display specification with PoC results for competitive products. Your role will involve delivering successful solutions to our Business Units (BUs) and presenting findings to senior leadership. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technology Evaluation: Assess and analyze display technologies which is our target, providing recommendations for integration into our product lineup.
  • POC Execution: Execute Proof-of-Concept (PoC) projects to evaluate new display technologies, including T-CON chips and power management solutions.
  • Define Display Design: Define LCD/OLED outline dimension & Control circuit.
  • Communication & Agreement for final Display spec:  Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear updates on project status, technical challenges, and PoC results.
  • Solution Delivery: Deliver successful PoC outcomes and technology solutions to Business Units (BUs), translating technical findings into actionable insights and implementable solutions.
  • Presentation to Leadership: Prepare and deliver presentations on project status, technical challenges, PoC results, and power management solutions to Business Units and senior leadership.
  • Industry Trends: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate the latest advancements into our products.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Display technology (a-Si, Oxide, LTPS, IPS, OLED), Optical design (LED, Prism LGP, Polarizer), display electronics (Source Driver, T-CON, Interface), and display mechanical design.
  • Proficiency in Optical/Electrical engineering tools (luminance meter, oscilloscope).
  • Experience with long periods (5year-10year in one company) of Display Development is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute PoCs, evaluate technologies, and deliver results to Business Units.
  • Experience preparing and presenting technical information to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex technical challenges.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team environment.
