Description and Requirements

The role will develop and implement joint business plans with their distribution partners to grow revenue and add value to their business. Additionally, the role is expected to help develop the assigned distributors sales planning, activity, revenue planning/forecasting as well as marketing initiatives. As Distribution Partner Manager, you will be responsible for all sales of Lenovo architectures, products and solutions and services through our Distribution Channel and resellers to customers in the Singapore market with main focus on the SMB and White Space market.

Owns and manage Lenovo’s distribution business for Singapore and achieve sustainable unit, revenue, and profitability (P&L), & market share goals.

Key Areas of responsibility:

  • Achieving Financial & Growth goals
  • Establish, develop and maintain sales relationships with assigned Distributors
  • Drive distribution transformation from hardware and logistical excellence to value added distribution
  • Strong teamwork with the Channel and Commercial team and exchange ideas and experience in order to achieve team sales target
  • Build strong business relationship with key people within the distribution and reseller organization
  • Establish and develop relationship with our distributors and key top resellers in the SMB and white space market and ensure that we have specific plans and initiatives
  • Be a trusted business advisor for the partners and resellers and be able to have strategic discussions focusing on the partners’ current and future business opportunities and development
  • Ensure Channel partner enablement capabilities through Distributors (Recruitment, Onboarding, Enablement and Growth)
  • Evaluate and enable Distributors’ technical readiness (solutions, product, quality of service)
  • Provides monthly/quarterly roadmap updates to distributors, SMB and white space partners 
  • Monitor distributor bookings, shipment and invoices to ensure timely book to bill processes
  • Act as point of escalation for urgent shipping needs through distributor
  • Responsible in setting quarterly Value Incentive Rebate targets and attainment tracking for distributors
  • Provide monthly scorecard performance management with Distributors and internal team
  • Proactively provide insightful & actionable outputs across products, markets & competitors
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews with Distributor

  • Degree in Marketing, Engineering and/or Business preferably with a strong analytical discipline
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience
  • Experience with direct and indirect sales in multiple channel business
  • Able to demonstrate an ability to excel within a cross-functional team environment
  • Should be able to exhibit strong strategic thinking, initiative and leadership skills
  • A solid track record in selling IT solutions and knowledge and competence within x86 based solutions is a clear advantage
  • Possesses strong relationship selling skills within the channel community
  • A self-starter and possesses strong problem solving & analysis skills, commitment & multi-tasking ability
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills
  • Results driven, team player, creative
