Description and Requirements
1. For PC Product, Impacts evaluation of EC from Service perspective (Quality, Customer Satisfaction, WW Service Supply management – risk to Part Availability Level and Backlogs, and Cost), provide systemic solutions to reduce the impact of EC on Service Supply Chain and Customer Satisfaction.
- Review service-related parts attributes for new created service parts. Be responsible on parts information accuracy in Lenovo service system
- Attend Engineering Change review board, as service representative. Approve EC request in Lenovo Engineering System
- Provide EC implement solution to service supply chain (BOM/replacement relationships/old inventory disposal methods, etc.)
2. Communicate with cross function team to make sure EC E2E management in WW Service (Service PM, PE, CQE, WW Parts Planner, Procurement, etc.), and follow up the execution in SBOM, Part Inventory Disposition, Part Repairing, and related.
- Systematically manage bad inventory disposition and new parts enablement to ensure less impact on service operation
- Explore opportunities for continuous improvement processes to meet evolving business needs
3. Drive the negotiation with Supplier for cost recovery due to the quality issue that EC-related, as possible
4. RRR (Repeat Return Rate), as one of the (Spare) Parts Quality KPI, will act as the Owner and drive the cross function to drive the improvement, and do regular biz reporting to SSC leadership.
