We’re looking for a thermal engineer within Consumer Product Solution Development (CPSD) at Lenovo. In this role you will work directly with engineering teams responsible for building new innovations and unique experiences.

You’ll be part of highly dynamic technology team and engineering solutions from concept release to mass production. In this role you will be working with both local and globally distributed teams and will be responsible for algorithm development for performance and power optimization.

■Roles and responsibilities

-       Design power & performance through CPU/GPU power control

-       Optimize parameters of CPU/GPU power and frequencies on drivers

-       Status update and spec change request to related departments and technology partner companies

■Key Interaction with:

- Lenovo development team in Yokohama, Japan

- Lenovo development team in US/China offices

- External ODM/SoC/OS development partner companies, both domestic and international

Must-have skills

>1yr experience as a function owner to develop electrical devices (mass production level)

-        Logical thinking

-        Basic knowledge of PC design

-        Basic knowledge of statistics

-        Good teamwork

Fluent Japanese/ business level English communication skill for both written and verbal for daily activities

Good to have

-       BS/MS/PhD in science or technology

-       Experience of board design (Mass production electrical device)

-        Experience of thermal development (Mass production electrical device)

-        TOEIC score 600 or above.

-        Problem debugging and solving skill

-        Daily Japanese conversation skill if the applicant’s native language is not Japanese
