Description and Requirements


The Office of EMEA ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) team is presently hiring the Environmental Reporting Specialist role based at Lenovo’s Bratislava, Slovakia location.

The Environmental Reporting Specialist will be working as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) prepares environmental reporting (mainly based on external software solution and supported by Excel database) supporting Lenovo`s Intelligence Device Group (IDG) reporting obligations.

Environmental reporting support reports for WEEE, packaging and battery as connected to legal, sales related or Lenovo partner requirements. SME is responsible for data gathering/collection, data analysis and data structuring to create required reports as needed. Regional scope is total Europe and middle East plus Africa, with main focus on Europe/EU countries.

SME works together in a team supporting EMEA environmental reporting (internal and external), taking guidance from EMEA Environmental Reporting Owner and EMEA ESG Manager.

Role also includes support to constantly improve and maintain Lenovo`s environmental reporting systems. Structurally, the position is part of the EMEA Environmental, Social and Governance team and sustainability team and will have possibilities to look into other topics of the team (possibly PELM audits, more responsibility on regulatory compliance area, etc.).

The role work closely also with external consultancy company and company providing external reporting software solution, that is helping with regulatory compliance for EMEA countries. Role will be also supporting external audits on WEEE, packaging and battery reporting.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Overall ownership and execution at the EMEA level for Lenovo’s ESG WEEE, packaging and battery reporting programs and act as EMEA ESG SME for customer requests on this topic and related regulatory requirements.
  • Continuous improvement of existing tools, develop tools and processes to support ESG audits including internal audit protocol, reporting templates, etc.
  • Create/update Lenovo standards and processes as needed to support ESG WEEE, battery and packaging audit requirements.  Support other business areas in developing or updating supporting standards, processes, and tools as needed.
  • Assist extended environmental and ESG team members as deemed necessary.

Requirements:
  • The role requires a mid-range level of maturity and self-management to work independently in a virtual global team.
  • English spoken & written
  • A high-level analytic understanding and willingness to learn is expected.
  • Skills in data management using standard tools based on MS office are required. Extended MS Excel skills are a mandatory requirement.
  • Project management experience is a must
  • Database skills, regulatory compliance and knowledge of SAP are preferable.
  • Experience in the area of environmental compliance is not mandatory but preferable.

Base gross monthly salary from 1800 EUR, depending on experience + variable part 12% of your annual earnings
