The Distribution Business Leader is responsible for Lenovo GAT’s distribution management including the whole Lenovo portfolio, services and solutions.
With your vision you shape the strategy of the Lenovo’s success story with our Distribution partners.
Together with the sales force team you manage relationships of distribution partners, build up the landscape of unmanaged partner business through distributors and provide sales enablement and education for our prospect partners.
An important focus of this role will be to lead the team in times of big industry changes to define the ideal the distribution landscape based on existing and new channels and give leadership to you team during Lenovo’s transformation into a service-led Technology Partner. You report directly to the Director Sales Channel/SMB Germany & Austria.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
As a people manager of a highly dynamic team, you will
- Provide leadership and coach your team in successful account management in a period of transformation from traditional sales moving to platform and as-a-service sales
- Build an effective team and own talent development
Through your team reporting to you, you will be responsible to:
- Drive inhouse shares at distribution in all lines of businesses
- Articulate Lenovo’s 360 value proposition and how it translates into Lenovo Partner Program
- Establish and manage and maintain relationships with Distributors across all levels including country management
- Be on top of data and analytics across distribution landscape and define new success metrics to adapt the business if needed
- Successfully apply business intelligence and understand how markets and competitors will influence the selling of Lenovo products and services
- Ensure the resellers understand and can successfully promote the Lenovo product set and successfully apply partner program by providing a tailored channel sales enablement.
Together with your team, you drive continuous process improvements in a corporate environment to achieve operational excellence today and tomorrow.
Position Requirements:
- Managerial experience and experience to guide, coach and manage teams in times of change
- The ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels of an organization, including at CXO level.
- Understanding and in-depth knowledge of industry trends, distribution KPIs and how to leverage the outcome
- You possess an excellent track record of sales achievements and are able to identify business opportunities and act on them quickly
- You have an entrepreneurial approach and you will be able to work on challenging targets
- Professional fluency in German and English
