Description and Requirements

This role is part of Lenovo’s Global Future Leaders Program which engages high-achieving, driven students by immersing them into the world of a global technology powerhouse. In your first three years, you will participate in a cross-border/cross-organization rotation to engage with key stakeholders, gain deep insight into our organization, and develop comprehensive leadership skills while making a global impact. In this role, you will be part of the Lenovo Research Team who support innovation across all Lenovo products. You will work on our Frontier (Future Technologies) Research Team as a Technical Staff Researcher. 

Role and Responsibilities

1.Explore novel applications to understand the key requirements and improvement on AI infrastructure (heterogeneous computing, interconnect, algorithm, models optimizations/quantization, etc.)
2.Follow up the frontier technology trends to formulate new research ideas
3.Explore and prototype the new computing technologies which may impact future AI advancement

What we're looking for:

1.Bachelor degree or above with graduation between  2024 and August 2025
2.Proficient in C++/Python programming language, data structure, and computer architecture, with strong implementation skills.
3.Familiar with AI algorithm / LLMs and optimization techniques (e.g. optimizations on CPU/GPU with CUDA or ROCm)
4.Familiar with major AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow/Paddle/DeepSpeed, etc.) and runtime system
5.Master degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields. PhD preferred. Top publications are a big plus
6. Fluent in English and Mandarin (Chinese)
