Description and Requirements

The ideal candidate will excel at building relationships with their stakeholders across the Benefits, the Lenovo HR function, and with external vendor. They will have strong project management skills, exceptional analytics capabilities, and they will have some experience implementing external benefits administration systems in partnership with internal IT/HRIT resources. They will have the necessary broad benefits experience to consult and guide the global benefits team members as well as our brokers and consultants on the strategy and objectives for the benefits function overall. Leads key global benefits initiatives such as Wellbeing

Role responsibilities:

·         Partner with Director and Regional team leads to develop short and long term benefits roadmap to include key design and administration milestones. Responsible for maintaining, updating and monitoring roadmap and providing regular reporting to team.

·         Consult to the regional C&B team on country and region specific benefits initiatives

·         Partner with Director and Regional team leads to ensure effective and efficient use of existing data and resources to enhance the employee experience. Manage global communication vendor relationship and continue to evolve strategy for benefits communication in partnership with regional Benefits team.

·         Own the Benefits work streams within HR initiatives to automate and simplify benefits administration globally.

o    Partner closely with regional/local benefits staff and payroll to develop internal and/or outsourced program administration solutions.

o    Provide support and guidance to team members to ensure systems and tools work as designed (eg, integrations between vendor solutions and HRIS and Payroll partners).

·         Manage vendor relationship with Lenovo’s global brokerage and consulting partner, including monitoring performance against global SLAs, ensuring alignment to benefits roadmap for key deliverables, and negotiating contract terms as needed.

·         Partner with HR Analytics and Compensation teams to deliver effective and insightful Total Rewards analytics

o    Maintain current benefits cost data for 35 countries and coordinate the annual updating of cost data. Develop plan and timeline for expanding to the top 50 countries.

o    Refine and expand benefits and mobility analytics and dashboards in various tools (vendor partner and internal)

·         Manage all aspects of select country/regional projects as needed including (for example):

o    Pension/retirement vendor change (administrative, investment, other)

o    Flexible Benefits design and implementation

o    Design and implementation of regional (multi country) risk policy for small head count EMEA countries

·         Lead M&A related due diligence and integration projects on benefits

·         Program management responsibility for global programs such as Wellbeing, Business Travel insurance, EAP, Multinational Pooling, others.

·         PMO to Director, Global Benefits

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor level degree in related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, including 5+ years of benefits experience (both corporate and/or consulting)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • True subject matter expert on all benefits and wellness related topics. Proven thought leader in benefits strategy on a global basis.
  • Comprehensive and thorough knowledge of benefits policies, trends, laws, regulations and system tools & technologies in at least one region.
  • Extensive experience with global benefits administration and solid understanding of benefit programs in multiple regions across the globe.
  • Ability to negotiate and sell major initiatives to senior management.
  • Ability to see broad strategic HR issues and apply rewards programming/recommend alternative solutions.
