Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Platform Development organization in Lenovo’s Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) is responsible for the development of Lenovo’s ThinkSystem server and storage products.  The Taipei Design Center is one of four worldwide development labs and serves as a focal point for a variety of server offerings, including Lenovo’s industry leading High Performance servers, Edge offerings, and more.  It is where innovation meets reality across server technology.

This position focuses on two roles.

As an Executive Director in the Platform Development organization, leadership in the world-wide team is critical – in Taipei as well as other labs in the US, PRC, and elsewhere.  This is a large, cross-functional global team supporting architecture, design, and delivery in the WW market.  An ability to understand and balance sometimes competing domains of time-to-market, cost, investment, and functionality is essential.  Responsibilities include building, maintaining, and mentoring leaders and an organization around the world.  Experience in managing large teams, organic system development projects, and managing relationships with worldwide partners.

As the Development Lab Executive for the Taipei Design Center, visible and enthusiastic local leadership is critically important.  Enhancing the energy of the team, maintaining morale, and creating an environment of diverse and open communication are priorities.  In addition, responsibilities will include the operation of the site labs, participation and leadership of site-wide events and communications, and working closely with the Taipei Site Executive.

Lenovo’s Infrastructure Solutions Group is a key partner to many of the world’s largest Cloud Service Providers, who drive unique requirements and development models.  Experience in leading development efforts with CSPs would be valuable.

Lenovo is an equal opportunity employer where we reward ownership, excellence, compassion and a one team culture. This position provides an opportunity to be an executive stakeholder in the Lenovo ISG journey as a WW leader:  creating designs that solve humanity’s greatest challenges to make this world a better place to live in, high velocity innovation with the world’s largest cloud providers and delivering the highest levels of reliability and quality that Enterprises demand.
