Description and Requirements

Lenovo’s quality team is currently seeking an experienced customer quality engineer to work with our Lenovo desktop and notebook devices.  In this position you will be performing failure analysis on customer defects, providing issue resolution and implementing future product improvements. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Perform failure analysis of product defects
  • Drive defect resolution with product owners
  • Drive future product improvements
  • Perform onsite customer investigation as needed
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers


Basic Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Quality or Customer Service Management experience
  • 5+ years of Analog and digital circuit debug knowledge
  • 5+ years of PC hardware and software troubleshooting skills

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with debug equipment like oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, multi-meter, etc.
  • Experience with material analysis equipment like X-ray, SEM, FITR Spectrometer, etc.
  • Bilingual English / Chinese or French or German
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and strategic abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work some evening hours as needed
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as needed
  • Team player attitude with the ability to work proactively & autonomously
