◇Position Description◇
■ About Lenovo F&A and this role
Lenovo F&A (管理財務部) houses a variety of roles from FP&A・Controller (経営管理), to Accounting, Tax, and Treasury/AR, offering a wide variety of skill and career development opportunities.
Japan Services Upsell Finance Controller works to support Japan Service Sales & Marketing (“Service Upsell”) team which is a strategic growth function as part of Lenovo WW’s SSG (Solutions & Services Group).
S/he will be the primary finance partner to the Service Upsell GM in being a key driver of transformation for the group by working across smart verticals, attached services, managed services, and our as-a-service offerings. S/he will champion business process control (discipline and framework), drives effectiveness and efficiency in reporting/analysis, providing timely and high-quality financial support to enable sound business decision making. S/he will work heavily with both Japan and AP Services organization and its finance teams, as well as Japan business segments, FP&A, and WW Accounting.
■ About Organization
-Report to: ROW/AP Service Upsell Finance Leader
-Accountable to: Japan Service Upsell Operations GM, Japan CFO
-Subordinates: n/a
-Number of Peers: approximately 6-7; Segment/Function Controllers and FP&A in Japan (who handle roles that require comparable F&A skill sets)
■ Roles and responsibilities (not limited to, but as an illustration)
-Develop financial forecasts, track the actual performance, analyze the variances, and provide recommendations to the Japan Services Upsell GM / Japan leadership team / AP Service leaders.
-Control resource and expense to optimize the financial returns.
-Implement quality processes and effective controls to ensure proper financial statements are prepared and sound business operations are executed.
-Identify areas of improvement/opportunity in business – both strategic and executional, driving profitable growth.
■ Key Interaction with:
-AP Services Upsell Finance team
-Japan business segments (Commercial, Consumer, and E-Commerce) / Finance
-Japan CFO, Japan FP&A team and WW accounting team
-Japan Service Operation team / Finance
◇Requirements◇
■Must Have – essential
【Experience】
・5+ years experience in financial analysis, reporting, and/or data analytics, with emphasis on revenue/cost/profitability.
・Systems and also specific application experience or ability to adopt (SAP, Qliksense, Power BI) is expected.
【Skill, Competency】
・Positive and proactive problem-solving attitude.
・Tenacity and strong penetration into details.
・Open to learn, adopt to new challenges, maturity to work in both advanced and primitive environment.
・Advanced/business level English and Japanese.
・Strong MS Excel/Powerpoint skills (processing/visualization).
■Good to have – desirable
【Experience】
・Working experience at international environment, matrix organization, and/or in mixed cultures.
・No need to for demonstrated organization management experience, but preferably interest in developing teams.
【Skill, Competency】
・MBA, CPA, and/or CFA desirable, but not required.
・Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is a plus.
