Description and Requirements
The Finance Data Management Tower, as part of Lenovo’s overall Finance Transformation team, is tasked with ensuring the integrity of financial data to support leadership business decisions. The main purpose of this role is to support various global projects to enhance centralizing data collection and improving compliance processes, as well as enabling end-to-end automation possibilities.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Analyze and investigate breaks in the process and data quality issues, to identify synergies for process automation
- Working closely with various teams and act as an implementation partner
- Maintenance and organization of master data in line with country and entity requirements
- Close cooperation with stakeholders and with external service provider to ensure accuracy of data requests and timelines and to understand root causes to issues
- Participate in transformation based on future state end-to-end Enterprise finance processes design for global finance
- Adopt a continuous improvement mindset by engaging with different teams, gathering lessons learned and adapting the process for future projects
What you’ll bring:
- Good communication skills, including good command of English language
- Strong customer focus and the ability to build relationships internally and externally
- Demonstrate characteristics of a forward thinker and self-motivator that thrives on new challenges
- A degree in business, finance, accounting, computer science, engineering, or a related field is beneficial
- Good understanding of accounting and tax principles as well as financial reporting is important
- Ability to work as part of a cross-cultural team incl. flexibility to support multiple time zones
Preferred, but not a must have:
- Previous experience working with technology that enables finance function (SAP ECC and SAP S/4 Hana)
- Experience in implementation of SAP modules and rollout projects
- Previous exposure/experience to/in global or regional finance shared services
- Previous Statutory accounting experience is welcome
