Description and Requirements

As a software developer, are you tired of getting up every day and doing the same thing over and over?  Are you looking for an opportunity to play a valuable role in designing, developing, and supporting a system that you know will be used by users all across the world?  If so – then we want to talk to you!

Lenovo Software is seeking a full-stack engineer to join a team for our LanSchool Air education product.  In this work-from-home role, you will have the opportunity to help shape and build an exciting application and see it used by millions of users worldwide.

You will be part of a small full stack team that works in a large-scale Scrum environment with other teams.  This will give you a chance to work on software design based on concepts provided by our User Experience team as well as the opportunity to write the code necessary to bring these concepts to life.  As a full-stack developer, you will have the opportunity to write user-facing code in Angular, TypeScript, and CSS, as well as to build cloud base microservices in NodeJS.


  • Work on a small team that helps build/maintain a large cloud-based solution
  • Create and maintain front end interfaces using Angular, TypeScript, and CSS
  • Design, create and maintain cloud-based microservices written in NodeJS that utilize backend technologies such as MongoDB and many AWS services
  • Develop end to end test scripts in Nightwatch

Position Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science or related software engineering field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a full-stack software developer position (must be able to cite specific examples of both front-end and back-end projects)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Angular or similar frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of NodeJS
  • Knowledge of API development/security
  • General networking knowledge
  • Strong self-starter with the ability to break large tasks/projects into smaller well-defined tasks
  • Experience using and developing against AWS cloud services
  • Experience using MongoDB or similar document database
  • Experience with unit testing
  • Experience with end-to-end testing
  • Experience being part of a Scrum or similar team
  • Knowledge of Github
