Description and Requirements
Responsibility:
1. Work with Factory and ITC Configuration services on escalation issues that impact factory fulfilment of customer orders
2. Work with global supply chain to ensure proper prioritization of Lenovo on Lenovo orders to ensure project are shipped and prioritized from a supply chain perspective
3. Assist with change order and prioritization of projects
4. Submit Production change requests (PCR) process for component decommits and changes to manufacturing options/process to serve our customers
5. Supply chain and logistic experience
6. Support of Close to Manufacturing initiatives
7. Experience with Microsoft Autopilot and pre-provisioning processes
8. Escalation point for manufacturing to configuration services as related to manufacturing Ticket Change Requests (TCR)
9. Provide root cause analysis on raised TCR from manufacturing
10. Basic understanding of BIOS and Imaging concepts
11. Work with teams on production change request implementations and prioritization
12. Work with the project management team to establish, document and maintain the build process for each project.
13. Actively assess/contribute to the continuous improvement of work, standards, processes and methodologies
14. In order to cope with ongoing demand, provide advice around capability, scale of facility and other process improvements as deemed fit.1. 5-10 years' proven IT experience as a Configuration Engineer in a medium to large corporate environment
2. Able to problem solve and think laterally
3. Proven ability to learn new and complex technology
4. Able to prioritize in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
5. Ability to commit and hold to delivery dates, but also work with agility and speed to respond to short-notice requests
6. Effectively transfer thoughts and expresses ideas verbally in individual or group situations
7. Relevant industry experience managing, designing, and implementing enterprise scale server and desktop environments
8. Working Knowledge on Windows Operating Systems and MS Products
10. Proven ability to troubleshoot Client solutions
11. Automation and scripting skills.
