As a General Manager, you will be responsible for managing our sales teams and be responsible for the Profit and Loss for the Southern Africa region. You will be managing and maintaining account relationships through senior level engagements for Lenovo’s PC business.


These are your detailed responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach and successfully drive a team of sales professionals, covering enterprise account sellers, presales and channel sellers
  • Manage the day to day operations of the team by reviewing sales strategies, activity levels, forecasts and participate in customer and partner meetings as required by the business
  • Being hands-on commercially - you will also have a few key accounts and the responsibility of winning more
  • Translate what is going on in the market into actions to be taken for the company
  • Manage the creation and delivery of accurate weekly, quarterly and annual forecasts and drive business planning internally and with partners
  • Put in place strategic and structured plan to achieve agreed aspiration
  • Own the P&L on top and bottom line.


Organization

You will report to our ED and General Manager for META supporting customers in Southern Africa. You will participate in weekly collaborative planning calls and meetings.


What you’ll bring/ Position Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years proven track record of successful selling in the IT industry, complimented with 5 years of leadership experience preferably in an international matrix organization
  • Regional/Global people management experience and comfortable to manage both direct as well as indirect reports
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong financial, operational and business development acumen
  • Travel to any or all customer sites as needed
