The Global Accounts Pricing and Profit Analyst role is designed for individuals that enjoy active engagement in strategic discussions with both Sales and Finance teams in the crafting of deals for the largest companies in the world. The role centers on developing pricing strategies for Europe and North America (East Coast) based companies that need Lenovo’s bread of product solutions across the globe.
The ideal candidate will have a blend of commercial and finance acumen and skills to maximize Lenovo’s profit while offering the best solution to our clients. The candidate will have superior communication and presentation skills to both listen and to contribute to strategy conversations, while synthesizing outcomes for investment cases.
The Global Accounts Pricing and Profit Analyst role is not a button-pusher role—it requires an individual that is energized by the crafting and optimizing of deals together with multiple Lenovo constituents. The individual will be a part of highly diverse, both culturally (our team is spread across 7 countries in 4 continents) and technically (our team has experience in Inside/Outside Sales, Finance, Economics, and Audit) that sees diversity of culture, skill, and opinion as the best combination to craft winning deals for Lenovo.
You will:
- Conduct bid analysis to optimize pricing/configurations, with the objective of maximizing revenue, margin, and customer experience
- Review product offering with both Sales and Product Managers to ensure Lenovo has a compliant offering whilst maximizing profit through an understanding of component cost environment and future cost projections. Work with Sales teams to identify the margin recovery initiatives
- Ensure due diligence around price point setting with multiple Global Account and Geography stakeholders
- Provide detailed analysis of regional margin performance in the areas of account, recovery, attach and component level for planning guidance
- Work with Global Account Manager and Internal Sales Representative to ensure the product transition aligns with Global Account strategy
- Closely interlock with WW Finance and Alliance counterpart for account support and funding
- Comfortable communicating to multiple levels of an organization day-in and day-out
Position Requirements: Background in Sales and/or Finance—both is a PLUS
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within Pricing or Commercial Sales function
- Strong business acumen and understanding of Profit/Loss statements
- Competent problem solver, innovative thinker, and comfortable in openly asking questions
- Ability to model financial deal scenarios in Excel (Needs proficiency in pulling and cleaning data, pivoting, basic arithmetic formulation)
Good analytical skills to provide profit predictability to sales
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and deal with ambiguity
- Good prioritization skills – balance important/non important tasks
