Description and Requirements
GENERAL FUNCTION Logistics and Shipping analyst
The Logistics and Shipping analyst provides transportation solutions for outbound operations from shipping points to direct to consumers in Latam.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- HAWB/ BOLS green lights
- In transit reports follow up ocean and air / sea air
- Carriers report review.
- Departure /Arrival notice notifications follow up.
- Shipping instructions to ODMS/ Hichian / LCT
- Execution issues follow up/ action plan review with carriers.
- Identifies transportation process improvement opportunities through strategic thinking, critical thinking and analysis.
- Develops and maintains cost estimates, forecasts, and cost models.
- Utilizes quantitative skills to create and analyze reports to support business execution. Supports the business through ad-hoc queries and maintains reports from a variety of resources as specific to department or organizational needs.
- Provides recommendations to senior managements.
- Performs data management through a combination of data mining, data modeling, data analysis, cost/benefit analysis, process mapping, and/or problem analysis, while executing day to day processes related to area of responsibility.
- Manages vendor/business partner relationships.
- Manages internal business partner and relationships, specifically retail brand employees.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related.
- 2 or more years of transportation, logistics and shipping or related supply chain experience
- Excel advanced
- English advanced
- Ability to write, speak, and present clearly and succinctly across a variety of communication settings and adjusts communication style to the audience by translating and articulating technical concepts to non-technical groups.
- Demonstrates originality and imagination in thinking while developing a solution to a problem.
- Prior SAP Experience
