Description and Requirements
Profile
Sound understanding of Marketing policies, procedures, and processes, based on a combination of formal education and professional knowledge. Provides advice to the business based on specialized Marketing knowledge and technical capabilities.
Determines Marketing program/project goals that support business objectives and strategies. Develops detailed project plans which include requirements, scope, deliverables, budget and schedules. Executes project and manages risks that affect the delivery of project outcomes. Monitors and ensures projects are completed within budget, schedules and quality standards. Implements process improvements to reduce development time and assists in the integration of complex business factors to develop and implement long-term objectives.
Representative Responsibilities
- Support the planning and execution of programs that effectively deploy marketing processes. Includes some cross-discipline, cross-functional integration. Multiple assignments across business unit, across geographies/regions, cross-unit (brand/ industry), and business solutions including product/solution.
- Support the effective deployment and enablement of marketing tools and marketing infrastructure, in conjunction with more senior marketing professionals and management
- Support appropriate measurement systems for the collection and reporting of established marketing metrics and actions; ensure operational linkages with appropriate functions
- Develop and maintain both new and existing programs/processes that support a strong marketing community across marketing disciplines, including: information sharing, ongoing communications, recognition, events, etc
- Ensure that the organization, structure and management systems are in place to drive business/marketing strategies, business goals and operational efficiencies
- Execute plans and programs demonstrating an understanding of policies and practices
Interaction
- Interface with other members of the marketing department while working on projects and programs
- Articulate the objectives of an assigned program/project as they apply to the attainment of organization & individual objectives; report status and influence improvements
- Advise other professionals within the marketing discipline on day-to-day activities that affect the implementation of the organization strategies and plans
Problem Solving
- Participate on special assignments which relate to the successful planning and execution of marketing processes; contributes to resolving encountered issues or problems
- Set own priorities when managing assignments; involve other Marketing professionals as needed to resolve more complex problems or issues
- Proficient in some of the marketing mix elements; able to provide advice and counsel to other professionals within the department when identifying and resolving issues or problems
- Participate in the development, implementation and administration of all financial activities related to assigned projects; ensures all financial challenges are addressed
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-time, relevant work experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in Project management, process improvement.
- Advanced degree
- Working knowledge of Marketing functions.
