Lenovo Professional Services is currently hiring for an HPC System Administrator to support HPC and AI customers. The role requires frequent presence in Memphis, TN.
The candidate is expected to work effectively in providing onsite (and remote) Linux System Administration and Support in the areas of Lenovo HPC & AI platforms and solutions. This person will be responsible for supporting HPC solution at customer sites.
Being a part of the Lenovo HPC Professional Services HPC System Admin team, your responsibilities are to:
- Hardware Installation and maintenance, which includes troubleshooting, before replacing components
- Interaction with the customer by keeping them updated with the progress of all issues
- Assist and work with Lenovo Level 3 (L3) team to perform deeper analysis of any issues
- Implement, deliver, and administer HPC Servers and Cluster.
- Setup and steer frequent customer meetings
- Liaise with Lenovo partners and manage their activities
- Perform Solution optimization, Migration and upgrade and recommend strategies
- Work collaboratively and complementary with the hardware sales team, technical sales (presales) team and Business Partners
- Work on a billable basis (customer-paid projects)

Position requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in Linux System Administration.
- Solid understanding of Linux hardware systems troubleshooting and support
- Able to perform OS installation and upgrades with no supervision
- Able to perform high-level problem determination
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge on System Management related skills, e.g. IPMI/SNMP
- HPC server system troubleshooting and support
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge of Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Very good hands-on technical skills and problem-solving skills
