The Head of Exclusive Retail is a pivotal leadership position responsible for managing and expanding Lenovo's exclusive retail store network across India, with a significant focus on operating within a Franchise Owned Franchise Operated (FOFO) model. This role involves creating and executing strategic plans that drive retail revenue, market share, margin, and volume through effective store management. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of retail operations, including store expansion, optimization, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality consumer experience. Additionally, the role requires managing franchise relationships, ensuring compliance with brand standards, and driving franchisee performance. The role also includes managing a diverse product portfolio, driving demand generation, and leading a high-performing retail team to achieve the company’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement business strategies that drive retail revenue and market share.
- Oversee comprehensive store management, including expansion, day-to-day operations, and performance optimization, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
2.Portfolio & Product Planning:
- Collaborate with sales and category teams to plan and manage product portfolios.
- Oversee demand generation strategies and collaborate with marketing to ensure growth.
3. Store Operations & Optimization:
- Lead all aspects of store management, including opening new stores in key regions, optimizing operations in existing stores, and driving efficiency across the retail network.
- Continuously focus on improving efficiency by optimizing non-profitable and underperforming stores.
4. Consumer Experience:
- Ensure best-in-industry consumer experiences across 200+ cities, maintaining high standards across all retail outlets.
5. Revenue & Margin Growth:
- Drive incremental revenue and margins through products beyond PCs, including tablets, accessories, visual products, and services.
6. Team Management & Development:
- Lead and develop a high-performing retail team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering a culture of excellence.
7. Stakeholder Management:
- Consistently engage and influence key stakeholders across the organization to drive retail initiatives and align strategies.
8. Omnichannel Growth:
- Enhance and grow Lenovo’s omnichannel capabilities to integrate online and offline retail experiences.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 15 years in retail, channel sales, and business planning at a national level.
- Extensive experience in store expansion, retail operations, and managing large-scale retail functions.
- Proven track record in driving sales, managing teams, and leading initiatives that enhance customer experience.
- Strong understanding of regional market dynamics, particularly in North India, Delhi NCR, Gurgaon, and Lucknow.
- Experience in handling fast-paced retail environments with a focus on strategic vision and operational excellence.
- FOFO Environment Expertise: Demonstrated experience working within a Franchise Owned Franchise Operated (FOFO) retail model.
Education:
- Postgraduate degree preferred, with a strong emphasis on business administration or a related field.
