Description and Requirements

Scope of responsibilities:
A joint Lenovo/Motorola Mobility wireless research team is looking for talented researchers to develop next generation wireless radio access interfaces and related standards. The candidate will join a team of world class researchers aimed at design, analysis, modeling, prototyping of next generation wireless networks/devices and services. Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and evaluate candidate solutions for next generation wireless systems; validate the solutions via analysis, simulations and working prototypes;
  • Develop innovative solutions related to next generation wireless networks, products, devices, and services;
  • Contributing to 3GPP and related standard bodies to help define and develop the next generation wireless systems;
  • Document results in technical reports, white papers, presentations, etc.

Position Requirements

  • MS or PhD degree in communications, signal processing, or related field.
  • In-depth understanding of various technologies of physical layer and good knowledge of network architecture, procedure, signaling, IP networking, mobility management and security aspects.
  • Solid knowledge of MIMO and OFDM/OFDMA based systems  and 3GPP higher-layer protocols such as NAS/RRC/PDCP/RLC/MAC;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English
  • Exceptional record on standard patent creation or high quality academic publication.
  • Strong 3GPP relevant experiences for delegation are preferred.
  • Leading delegate/prime delegates in 3GPP in the relevant company is a big plus.
