Description and Requirements

The Global Healthcare & Life Science Technical Consultant (ITC) is responsible for driving pre-sales engagement with key customers in the Healthcare & Life Science industries. With a deep understanding of healthcare and life science workflows and the required applications, the ITC will be the trusted advisor on solutions development and deployment for Lenovo workstations and integrated One Lenovo solutions. This role will be integral in helping drive new business through strategic account acquisition in the healthcare and life science sectors.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Support sales leadership with their acquisition and retention strategies for Lenovo workstations solutions in the HLS industry
  • Provide guidance on Lenovo solutions to solve key workstation application workflow challenges from data center to end user solutions
  • Act as customer facing technology expert to provide details of workstation workflow challenges to the Lenovo Customer Solutions engineering team
  • Coordinate partner solution ecosystem to fulfill customer requirements
  • Optimize the opportunity intake process for pre-sales activities for acquisition accounts
  • Utilize product positioning, industry marketing, technical demonstrations, sales enablement, and competitive analysis tools
  • Work in concert with Lenovo Industry Managers to nurture ISV/IHV relationships (eg. Siemens, Fujifilm, Philips, Dassault, Schrodinger, OpenEye, etc.)
  • Create and manage opportunities for industry-specific solutions and proof of concepts with customers, prospects, ISV and other technology partners
  • Be an industry SME and speak at events on behalf of Lenovo Workstations
  • Train sales and channel partners on the need for Workstations and where workstations fit in the customer workflows.
  • Work with Industry Vertical Manager to develop industry strategy and go to market plan.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years’ experience in Healthcare and Life Sciences technology workflows including pharmaceutical and biotech segments

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Healthcare and Life Sciences ISV/IHV solutions specific to workstation workflows
  • Experience working with key ISVs providing software tools to the Healthcare and Life Sciences industries including (eg. Dassault, Schrodinger, Oxford Instruments, MathWorks, GROMACS, cryo-EM)
  • Degree in Biomedical Engineering or similar
  • MBA 
  • Workstation and Server workflow solution experience is an asset
  • Strong virtual team/extensive cross-group coordination and collaboration
  • Exceptional strategic, customer focused, open & effective communication skills
  • Strong technical acumen and passion for learning new technologies
  • Self-starter who can manage ambiguity and chart a clear course in an environment of change
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills – English required

The base salary budgeted range for this position is $140k - 180K. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission.
