Description and Requirements

Job Description

We are looking for a summer HR Intern located at our North American HQ in Morrisville NC.  In this role you will report directly to the Sr. HR Manager supporting International Sales Organization finance employees within Lenovo.  Potential opportunity for continued part-time role if extended beyond summer.

Responsibilities:

Projects and assignment may include the following:

  • Use Workday and other software tools to conduct employee data integrity analysis and reviews as well as provide metrics and reports for leadership reviews.

  • Participate on training and development, culture and communications, compensation, and other ongoing projects and initiatives.

  • Partner with finance employees and managers to answer questions, provide HR related information and help process employment changes to cost centers, organizations, reporting relationships, etc.

  • Assist with the acquisition of talent and tracking of headcount.

  • Create and publish content for employee newsletters, internal SharePoint communication sites and intranet.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Junior level or higher pursuing a bachelor’s degree, or master’s degree, in Human Resources, or Business with a HR concentration.

  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint and Excel

  • Currently living within the greater Raleigh (triangle) area and able to travel to the Morrisville office location as required.

  • Able to work 10 – 20 hours per week post summer internship, to be determined based on candidate’s availability and business need.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous HR experience/internships

  • Experience using HR systems such as Workday, Peoplesoft, Oracle, etc.

  • Able to work in a highly matrixed environment and take initiative without a lot of direction.

  • Ability to maintain the highest levels of professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Excellent communication skills
