Description and Requirements

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly-created team providing as-a-service solution design and assurance for our internal clients in Lenovo’s worldwide sales organization. This team is part of Lenovo TruScale, which focuses on enabling our customers to access industry-leading computing resources as a pay-for-what-you-use subscription.

Lenovo’s TruScale Services are growing in scope and Lenovo is engaging on an increasing volume of customer opportunities. We need creative, organized, detail-oriented people to own execution of our deal management process, including engaging the appropriate people and processes for deal qualification, solution architecture, financing, proposals, contracts, transition to delivery, and more. You will be operating an existing playbook and optimizing it to run effectively at scale.

This is a new team, and you will have flexibility to create and adjust tools and processes as needed to support the mission. At the same time, this team is backed by Lenovo’s worldwide TruScale organization and is supported by dozens of team members motivated to make you successful.

This is a fast-paced role, focusing on connecting the needs of a specific opportunity to the resources on hand. You will be expected to handle multiple deals simultaneously, so organization is key. Finding creative ways to utilize Lenovo’s network of supporting resources and overcome obstacles will be key to success.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate bids requesting sales support and prioritize the most-qualified opportunities
  • Ensure sales proposals adhere to established solution standards
  • Collect and present closed-loop sizing guidance (other deals of this type expanded after x months, etc)
  • Expedite deal closure by promptly engaging relevant SMEs for inputs and approvals
  • Share best practices with internal teams
  • Collaborate with sales and business groups to resolve impediments to closing deals
  • Manage and orchestrate approvals for non-standard requirements
  • Leverage internal expertise to de-risk bids
  • Identify additional relevant products/services as candidates for expansion

Position requirements:

  • Industry experience in the Software, Information Technology, Cloud, or Software-as-a-Service industries
  • Ability to track multiple deals against a standard process flow
  • Experience with business development, sales, or sales support
  • Business-minded judgment and risk management
  • Familiarity with Project Management practices and terminology
  • Working in a service desk of any type
  • Work through a running log of accepted deals
  • Effectively communicate business needs and strategies
  • Facilitate an environment of inclusion of diverse talent and perspectives, enabling Lenovo to serve its global customers

  • Be comfortable quickly handling and/or distributing work items to other teams
  • Very good English written and verbal skills.
