Description and Requirements

What You'll Do:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic candidate, career-minded professional with a strong background global trade compliance and import/export regulations for US and Canada.  In this is role you’ll be supervising, tracking, and managing daily import and export operations for NA.  This role supports all Lenovo business groups.  You will interface with global team members, manufacturing sites, logistics, customer service, and more.

This position is a hybrid role which requires office time in Morrisville each week


·  Responsible for managing a globally based staff

·  Manage and track performance of customs brokers

·  Escalating forecasted delays to appropriate internal customers

·  ACS Reconciliation reporting

·  Problem solving to meet customer satisfaction while maintaining Lenovo’s value

·  Work cross functionally with manufacturing, global logistics, engineering, development, and sales

·  Serviceability and compliance metrics

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years related experience required
  • Relevant work experience in global trade compliance, operations, or logistics
  • High level of interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • High level of flexibility, self-reliance, and dependability
  • Strong proficient with Microsoft office and particularly Excel
  • Ability to prioritize effectively without daily oversight
  • Detail oriented and sense of urgency
  • Complex problem solver and critical thinking; emotional intelligence

Preferred Qualifications:

  • US. Customs Broker’s License
  • Global experience
  • SAP experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
