Description and Requirements

Lenovo’s strategy for long-term success is driving and selling solutions beyond core PC to solve customer problems and gain relevance as leading commercial IT solutions provider.  The Sales Transformation organization has a key role to play in enabling organization readiness to deliver on this strategy.  Reporting to the ISO Sales Transformation Leader, this position will redefine, drive, and execute change in how we sell to and manage our large commercial end customers. 

The ISO Sales Transformation Director will be responsible for the management and delivery of Sales Transformation initiatives within the commercial customer base, building a best-in-class organization. The position calls for an experienced professional who can challenge the status quo, lead change, drive commitments to keep timelines and is able to communicate to all levels in the business.

What You’ll Do

  • Define a vision for the Strategic Accounts teams across the org; building job descriptions & how the roles interact with the other sales functions
  • Build upon the work already undertaken in Project Tetris; considering a One Lenovo collaborative approach
  • Peer with the other sales transformation leaders to develop the go-to-market strategies and organization requirements, particularly with the Sales Engineering & Channel functions
  • Build competency and skills requirements, and deliver training plans in conjunction with the ISO L&D mission
  • Identify the enablement requirements for these roles to be successful, including but not limited to: Sales Plan Design, Digital Sales Tools, Customer Insights, and sales support processes
  • Collaborate with other functions such as the Digital Transformation, Sales Operations, and IT teams to design and deliver high quality sales tools
  • Effectively conduct key stakeholders’ briefings across the geos to gain support and drive the adoption of the new roles
  • Influence and advise upper management on critical and strategic decisions or business issues.
  • Provide program management, development, planning, and guidance to ensure that key transformation objectives are met
  • Efficiently lead the development and delivery of optimized processes to support both Lenovo sales teams and their interaction with the external channel partners
  • Work directly with the geo sales team members, as well as with the WW transformation teams, on a regular basis 

What the Position Needs:

  • Ten plus years of experience in sales strategy, sales structure, business development or program management in large, multi-national, preferably tech organizations
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required; MBA or other relevant advanced degree is a plus. Program & Project Management skills
  • Strong judgement, ability to manage through ambiguity and complexity as well as a demonstrated ability to influence without explicit authority are key to success. ·
  • Excellent cross group collaboration skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences. 
  • Demonstrated ability to define, refine and implement and govern processes, procedures, and policies. ·
  • Capability to design ways to measure and track performance, and to make improvements to the approach based on those measurements
  • Ability to prepare and deliver business reviews to the senior management team
