Description and Requirements



The Incubation Business Development Manager is responsible for driving the growth and success of the incubation business. This role involves identifying, evaluating, and nurturing potential clients, building strategic partnerships, and enhancing the overall value - proposition of the incubation services.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Client Acquisition and Relationship Management

  • Prospect Identification: Research and identify clients with high-growth potential across various industries. Use multiple channels including Lenovo sales team, key industry events, and industry networks.
  • Client Engagement: Engage with potential clients, understand their business models, growth plans, and pain points. Provide detailed information about the incubation products / services.
  • Account Management: Once clients are onboarded, manage their relationships. Regularly communicate with the clients startup founders, provide support, and ensure that their needs are met. Conduct periodic reviews to assess the progress of the startups and make necessary adjustments to the incubation support.

 

Strategic Partnerships

  • Partner Identification: Identify and evaluate potential strategic partners. These partnerships can bring in additional resources, expertise, and funding opportunities
  • Partnership Negotiation: Initiate and lead negotiations with potential partners to establish mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Partnership Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the partnerships. Coordinate with partner organizations to ensure the smooth implementation of joint projects

 

Financial Management

  • Budget Planning: Contribute to the development of the business development budget, including costs associated with marketing, events, and partnership initiatives. Monitor and manage the budget to ensure cost - effectiveness.
  • Revenue Generation: Develop strategies to increase the revenue of the incubation business, such as through higher client intake, premium service offerings, or revenue - sharing agreements with partners. Forecast revenue streams based on market trends and business development activities.

 

Program Promotion and Branding

  • Marketing and Promotion: Develop and execute marketing strategies along with the ISG marketing team to promote the incubation program. This includes creating marketing collateral, managing the incubation program's website and social media presence, and organizing promotional events.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent the incubation business at industry events, conferences, and panels. Share insights and success stories to enhance the brand reputation and position the incubation program as a leader in the startup ecosystem.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:


Skills

  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of the business models and growth strategies. Ability to assess the revenue opportunities
  • Sales and Negotiation: Proven sales skills with the ability to close deals and negotiate favorable terms. Experience in client relationship management and account-based selling.
  • Networking: Exceptional networking skills with a wide network

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in business development
  • Demonstrated track record of successful client acquisition, partnership building, and revenue growth
