Lenovo is strategically focused on working with partners and customers in the retail vertical, optimizing the store operation with a nimble infrastructure and strong Analytics support. We are looking for a Retail Solutions- Marketing Manager for the Retail vertical, to join the Industry Solutions unit within Lenovo's Solutions and Services Group (SSG).

Key responsibilities:

  • Create and lead the overall vertical marketing strategy plan for the Retail vertical
  • Define the value proposition for Lenovo’s retail existing and new solution portfolio
  • Continuously position the Retail solution portfolio in alignment with market demands and relevant business needs
  • Partner closely with the solutions offering management team to implement the go-to-market strategy across direct and indirect sales channels around the world
  • Collaborate and guide our global sales and marketing teams with effective customer-facing marketing and sales enablement aimed to position Lenovo as a strategy for retail customer’s digital transformation
  • Lead industry awareness plans to raise the visibility and relevance of Lenovo in the retail vertical, participating in relevant industry events, engaging with key industry analysts and press, leading web and social activity, and developing customer references.
  • Represents the voice of the customer before, during and after the launch of retail solutions to drive solution adoption and advocacy

We look for someone skilled in the following areas:

  • Communication Skills: Excellent writing and speaking skills; can articulate information clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings (informal and formal).
  • Business Acumen: Extensive business knowledge and understanding of competitive positioning and how its strategies work within the marketplace.
  • Judgment: Makes good decisions in a timely manner based on analysis, measurement of results and experience; track record of making solid suggestions and decisions over time; sought out by others for advice and counsel.
  • Interpersonal Savvy: Relates well to people inside and outside the organization; is accessible and develops rapport; listens and builds constructive and effective relationships using diplomacy and tact; commands credibility by treating people with respect and trustworthiness.
  • Values: Strong work ethic; straightforward demeanour; maintains highest personal/professional ethics.

Basic Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience with content creation and go-to-market strategy and planning
  • Industry knowledge of the retail vertical and retail marketing strategies, particularly on the solution and service side
  • Self-starter with a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and project management skills
  • Strong storytelling, writing and presentation skills engaging with multiple internal and external audiences and influencers
  • Digital marketing vehicles and innovation

Preferred Experience:

  • Demonstrated track record of successful go-to-market strategy development
  • Enterprise software and solutions knowledge and experience
  • B2B marketing experience with a demonstrated track record of success.
  • Channel, distribution and technology are a plus                                                       
  • Solution sales training methodologies are a plus
  • Marketing measurement and testing disciplines
  • Understanding of marketing and CRM technology; to and through so that the channel can be enabled and empowered
  • Marketing and customer databases
  • Reporting and analysis tools
  • Website/eCommerce strategy and execution
  • Sales management - setting budgets, revenue goals and quotas
  • Pricing strategy, promotional development and execution
  • Follow through with customers and ensure satisfaction
  • Competitive positioning.
