Position Description

Join the Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group working with the Insight account team. We are looking for a strong growth-orientated individual who has strong skills in developing programs to drive opportunities in the market. Working out of Chicago, IL, the ideal candidate would have a strong understanding of the data center market, and “what it takes” to drive excitement and interest across a large population of inside and field sellers. A fundamental understanding of the server/storage market is key, as is a passion for winning in a highly competitive market.

Lenovo's partners are critical to our overall success and represent a major expansion in our execution. Our Business Partners are a strategic route to market and key part of our execution strategy. The Infrastructure Solutions Group is currently hiring a Channel Account  Manager, with experience supporting channel business relationships and processes. The successful candidate will work specifically with Insight and collaborate with Lenovo sales teams to integrate and execute programs designed to drive server, storage, HCI, services and software sales into the market in conjunction with Insight.  Lenovo is focused on premium to market growth, and we are looking for a high-energy, forward-thinking individual to make a significant impact with one of our strategic channel partners.

The successful candidate will be ideally based out of Chicago Area and should have the ability to travel within North American territory up to 50% of the time.

The Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group Channel Account Manager - Insight will be responsible for:

•       Driving to meet/exceed assigned quotas
•       Collaborating with IDG Channel Account Managers and Inside Sales Teams to create initiatives to drive data center opportunities by verticals/geographies
•       Building and fostering relationships internally and with partner sellers to drive Lenovo preference by creating a fun and easy-to-do-business with mentality
•       Design and co-ordinate trainings, events, campaigns, on data center offerings and portfolio
•       Participating in customer and/or partner calls
•       Developing & implementing strategy to drive Lenovo consideration leveraging digital and traditional marketing campaigns in conjunction with the Insight team
•       Growing and owning sales pipeline and opportunities by territory
•       Developing and implementing strategies to drive new logo acquisition and partner seller preference
•       Conducting regular QBRs and maintain all action items to completion

Position Requirements

Basic qualifications:
•         BA/BS degree or equivalent professional work experience
•         3+ years with channel sales experience

Preferred qualifications:
•         Drive for business results and proven success in achieving revenue goals
•         Proven ability to develop strategies to create programmatic success in the market
•         Travel to any or all partner sites when necessary
•         Proven ability to create and execute dynamic sales contests, create intriguing customer offers or market buzz
•         Strong teamwork, communication and inter-personal skills
