Position Description

A part of Lenovo’s growth strategy is to focus on Strategic Accounts within the Enterprise segment, and you can now join our growing DACH team!

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Inside Account Manager for our Strategic Accounts in the region South (location: Stuttgart). The Inside Account Manager will work collaboratively with the Key Account Manager and Solution Architects to manage all strategic presales activities for a given set of strategic accounts. This position proactively works with the most senior decision makers at our clients and internal stakeholders to provide support of sales opportunities and ensures the appropriate portfolio of Lenovo products, services and software is architected to solve our client’s most complex business problems.  This job role includes:

  • Enthusiastic and strong will to win 
  • Provide, proactive follow-up, product information and overall  account support via the telephone and email 
  • Work closely with Key Account Manager in the ongoing development of opportunities and management existing accounts.  
  • Assist Key Account Manager with customer requests and ongoing communication touchpoints that drive Customer Experience (CX) 
  • Act as the PC specialist by working directly with the customer for configurations to ensure meeting needs of customer along with updates on status 
  • Pipeline accuracy and weekly cadence reporting of forecast and opportunity management to Key Account Manager for customer tracking and identifying and confirming ongoing sales needs 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence customer decisions to close business
  • Leverages technical sales team for complex configurations 
  • Works collaboratively with Key Account Manager for development of value proposition and solution roadmap
  • Driver of pipeline accuracy and weekly cadence reporting of forecasting, opportunity management, customer tracking and identifying and confirming ongoing sales needs  

In this position you are reporting to Sr. Sales Manager Strategic Accounts.

  • Position Requirements
  • 3-5+ years of experience aiding in solution-based sales
  • Solid knowledge of the scope of Lenovo’s products and services 
  • High proficiency in executive level written and verbal communication skills 
  • Previous experience in a technology field or IT Industry is highly preferred; proven successful sales experience and contracts knowledge 
  • Should have successful history of new business sales, strong direct sales experience, consistent over-achievement of quota and revenue goals. Proven results in growing, developing & managing acquisition accounts is a must 
  • Previous experience with Dynamics 365, combined with strong Microsoft application skills 
  • Should learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of products and services, industry trends, and the competitive landscape 
  • Should maintain an understanding of sales processes, techniques and tools and use them appropriately  
  • Can differentiate offerings and articulate the Lenovo value proposition against the competition, to ensure the best potential to win in sales opportunities
