Description and Requirements

We are seeking enthusiastic, career-minded professionals to join our Inside Date Center Group Sales Team. The ideal Technical Sales Representative will be aggressive, goal-oriented, articulate and possess sound phone skills. A strong personality with the desire to reach high performance goals is a must. Representatives will work with acquisition and retention accounts in either the public sector, large enterprise or mid market segment. This position will be responsible for uncovering opportunities, selling the benefits of the full Lenovo Data Center Product Portfolio and selling against the competition. Account Representatives will configure, price, negotiate and quote sales solutions as well as provide, proactive follow-up, product information and overall account support via the telephone. Inside Server Sales Account Representatives will work within corporate initiatives including weekly forecast and opportunity management.

This ISG Inside Sales Rep will possess strong knowledge of all Lenovo Data Center solutions, including ThinkServer, System X, Lenovo Networking and Storage. In addition this role will support the sales reps in pre-sales activities and post-sales activities as appropriate. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in providing both detailed product presentations and demonstrations via phone, computer, or a combination of both (Webex, etc). This will be a key task that this ISR will be expected to perform consistently.

General Industry knowledge specific to storage, storage virtualization, networking, enterprise workload applications, software, and services required –with particular emphasis on storage, networking and associated concepts. In addition, the candidate will be expected to be familiar with software defined storage vendors such as Nutanix, Vmware, Storwize, Nexenta, and Pivot 3. This ISR will be expected to effectively leverage all internal Lenovo technical support mechanisms and processes to deliver technical resolutions for required customer technical support.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Supports all technical pre-sales activities from product overviews to deployment consultations to RFP input for channel business.
  • Maintains technical relationships at the channel IT technician and entry level IT management, and sales.
  • Identify development opportunities for affiliated partner products to the core Lenovo product portfolio.

Minimum Requirements:

• 2+ years of professional inside or outside sales experience in a technology field or IT Industry is required. Must have had a quota carrying sales position

Preferred Skills:

• High level of interpersonal skills and strong negotiation skills

• Must have the ability to penetrate, acquire, and transition opportunities

• Working knowledge of IT industry, ability to learn and present hardware & services portfolio

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required

• High level of flexibility, self-reliance

• Work Location: Corp HQ in Morrisville, NC
