Description and Requirements



We are looking for an enthusiastic Java Developer for our Lenovo Systems Care team to work on a lot of exciting projects we will have down the road. 

As part of our team, you’ll get to write code for a new generation, of microservices-based apps, as well as transition legacy apps towards modern frameworks.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
  • Write clean code to develop functional web and backend applications
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications
  • Perform UI tests to optimize performance
  • Gather and address technical and design requirements
  • Liaise with other internal teams to identify new features
  • Write and continually update documentation
  • Assist the Systems Architect design client-side and server-side architectures

Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Java/backend Developer, familiarity with common stacks
  • Previous experience with writing API interfaces and working with Queuing solutions (Rabbit MQ, Redis, etc)
  • Knowledge of microservices and Kubernetes container orchestration is an advantage
  • Familiarity with databases (DB2, PostgreSQL), web servers (Apache, Nginx), and UI/UX design
  • Nice to have any frontend Java technologies or DevOps knowhow
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • B.S/M.S. in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • Excellent communication skills – Able to work with remote teams across cultures and foster trust and collaboration
You will be reporting to the SystemsCare Program Manager and you will be part of a global team.
