Description and Requirements

Responsible for new business wins and development/retention customers for PC products from Android/Windows tablets, desktops, notebooks, workstations and associated services and accessories.  Extending account relationships through senior level engagements and developing sales strategies for customer solutions provision leveraging the whole Lenovo product and service portfolio.  You will develop profit and pricing proposals, as well as communicate and understand Total Cost of Ownership, industry trends, and critical success factors for an effective rollout. Engaging with extended teams in providing customers across both Public and Private sector verticals with insights in how Lenovo can help them achieve their goals. The role will include responding to RFPs (Request for Proposals), product transition plans, and resource planning.

Main responsibilities:

• Conduct a minimum of 6 customer facing meetings per week

• Build strategic sales plan for sales territory and execute against it.

• Build strong relationships with Large Enterprise Public and Private sector Acquisition customers and channel partners/channel partner account managers to understand their requirements and develop relevant solutions  

• Develop robust account plans for key acquisition accounts

• Provide accurate weekly forecasts

• Engage in C-level meetings with specific Large Enterprise customers

• Mentor and manage aligned Internal Sales Rep on a daily basis

• Must be self-motivated with an ability to prospect new customers

• Collaborate with technical staff and product specialists where required to address customer requirements

• Develop and maintain territory plans which outline how sales targets will be met on an ongoing basis

• Work at all levels within an organisation to deliver a quarterly target

• Report on sales activity

• Work with delivery teams to proactively address problems

Collaborate with Lenovo’s channel partners in demand generation activities and marketing 

• Provide feedback to sales management on ways to decrease the sales cycle, enhance sales, and improve company brand and reputation

• Provide feedback to company management on market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs, and opportunities to deliver greater value to customers by extending company offerings

• Identify sales support requirements and work with marketing to develop improve sales tools

• Be a positive representative of the company and its brand in the marketplace

• Conduct all sales activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity


You will report to the Large Enterprise Sales Manager supporting customers. You will participate in weekly collaborative planning calls and meetings. 


Position Requirements: 

  • 5+ Years of experience in Customer Facing External Facing IT Industry Sales
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of acquisition sales in the IT Industry
  • Entrepreneurial personality, customer focused, and able to deliver exceptional solutions well beyond customer expectations 
  • Problem solver and decision-maker
  • Prioritise customer focus, able to work under pressure of senior clients
  • Able to align people and influence decision making, effectively working in a matrix
  • Collaborative working style and high commitment to get the job done

Skills, Experience and Competencies:

  • Ability to contact, qualify, develop and close leads face to face and virtually
  • Systematic, persistent and efficient when managing both time and accounts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and sales skills.
  • Use interactive tools including chat, forums, email, monitoring and other web based social media to exceed customer expectations.
  • Ability to carry and achieve a quota
  • Be part of a team, with best in breed execution quality
  • Negotiation and closing skills
