Description and Requirements

You will be working closely with Global Managed Services Teams leading, supporting and managing legal negotiations with Enterprise clients across a range of deal sizes (from simple, single-country subscription-based transactions to highly-complex, multinational managed services deals)

• Lead, support and/or manage legal negotiations with systems integrators

• Liaise with Lenovo Geo-based counsel to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations and to assure Lenovo Legal alignment and consistency

• Provide strategic direction/input to the Global Managed Services business regarding contract strategy

• Liaise with Lenovo Legal subject matter experts (SMEs) to provide the Global Managed Services business with expert legal advice

• Advise senior stakeholders, including at Executive level, and build cross-functional relationships across departments and functions, e.g. Sales, Service, Finance, Legal, Geos and any relevant subsidiaries or affiliates.

• Ensure compliance with Lenovo Corporate Policies and Lenovo Legal policies and practices

• Keep the Global Managed Services business informed of, and in compliance with legal and regulatory changes.

Position Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor with excellent academic credentials

• [15+] years post qualified experience (for guideline purposes only) in a multi-jurisdictional IT or / Fortune 500 inhouse legal team environment with experience in subscription, "as a service", managed services, leasing and/or outsourcing commercial models

• Additional expertise in IT, Hardware, IPR and Data Protection

• English fluency

• High degree of professional ethics and integrity

• Sound judgment and advanced analytical skills

• Collaborative in nature, with highly-developed interpersonal and communications skills

• Excellent drafting and negotiating skills

• Seniority, confidence and gravitas to engage in face-to-face negotiations of multi-million dollar Global Managed Services deals with client lawyers and other senior stakeholders, including at Executive level

• Ability to anticipate, proactively manage and mitigate legal risks

• Commercial awareness with ability to balance between a business team’s objectives and the associated legal risks

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous and ever-changing environment

• Ability to remain calm under pressure
