Lenovo Device Intelligence Solutions proactively monitor a broad array of data points across the device fleet, diagnose issues impacting performance, and surface helpful remediations. 

The solutions leverage machine and deep-learning AI methods in its advanced predictive analytics modeling. The models continually improve and become more adept at detecting potential problems and adapting to your specific environment, while advanced issue notification helps IT to prioritize and resolve issues. In addition, the Lenovo Device Intelligence Plus solution adds even more device insights and increased functionality to drive better business outcomes.  

LDI (Lenovo Device Intelligence) is looking for a lead data engineer to develop and maintain modern data pipeline architectures to meet key business objectives. You have an opportunity to act as the architect, lead the technical discussion, influence the data strategy, redesign platforms, and solve mission critical tasks. You are passionate about coding along with leading the team to implement a solution. 

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with development team to create the right data pipeline for the task. 

  • Collaborate with data scientists to design scalable pipelines of their models.  

  • Identify the right choice of technology element for current or new problem. 

  • Prototype, and drive new product initiatives.  

  • Own the KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) of the platform and help drive appropriate changes. 

  • Lead by example to and bring in best practices in implementing robust data pipelines. 

  • Mentor junior developers 


Position Requirements: 

 Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or Engineering, or in a related field 

  • 10years’ experience in building robust software applications 

  • 3 year of playing the lead/architect role in data engineering. 

  • Proficient in more than one programming languages - java, python and Golang. 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of modern data engineering tools like Kafka, Spark, and Hadoop 

  • Working experience in NoSQL, SQL 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with large datasets and  in data mining. 

  • Working experience with orchestrators such as Airflow 

  • Working experience of deploying pipelines in AWS, GCP, Azure 

  • Experience in ML frameworks (Pytorch, Tensorflow, etc.) and libraries (scikit-learn)
