Description and Requirements

Learning and Alliances Program Manager

Lenovo is looking for a talented and motivated program manager to influence the learning curricula and content that further enhances our customer experience culture. As a learning program manager, you will help grow our international sales organization by creating and delivering product training programs that boost competency. As an alliances program manager, you will collaborate with alliance partners to design and execute strategic learning programs.

Assess the needs of the business, implement training and development plans, and facilitate a wide variety of training and competency programs that enhance the effectiveness of the  our global internal sales organization and salesforce . Program management of sales training including the production of digital learning focused on understanding and selling Lenovo’s family of intelligent device products, services, and solutions such as personal computers, smart collaboration, security, IoT, healthcare, and education solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze the needs of global internal sales, business partners, and geography stakeholders to determine the knowledge and competencies required
  • Coordinate with global sales learning & development leaders and channel strategy leaders to define and manage the outcomes associated with the learning programs
  • Project manage the entire lifecycle of the learning programs from initiation, design, development, maintenance, support, and retirement
  • Work with key alliance partners to develop a strategic vision of collaboration and execution
  • Build and implement the strategy that with support from the team curriculum manager that will support growth objectives
  • Strong understanding of business objectives and strategically aligned training programs
  • Manage relationships and communication with all relevant stakeholders
  • Apply expertise and knowledge of industry standards and benchmarking to learning programs
  • Implement and maintain communications with leadership, stakeholders, and partners

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, adult learning, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of project management and/or program management experience
  • 3+ year of instructional design, sales training, or product training
  • Basic knowledge of Learning Management Systems (Saba, Adobe, etc.)

  • Demonstrated ability to drive initiatives with global teams and across functions
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, complemented with creative thinking
  • Comfortable working in a fast-growing environment, while adapting to and introducing change
  • Ability to build relationships and to influence others to get results 
  • Persistence and creativity to persevere through obstacles
  • Ability to manage timelines, milestones, and deadlines
  • Strong understanding of the technology industry and business context

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in instructional design or adult learning
  • Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and modern training techniques
  • Knowledge of learning management systems and eLearning technologies
  • Experience collaborating with Alliance partners on programs
  • Understanding of consultative and solution selling
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Experience managing multi-million dollar budget and recoveries from multiple sources
  • PMP certification a plus
