Description and Requirements


Lenovo is looking for a Lenovo Open Cloud Automation Engineer with a rich Ansible experience to design and develop Open Cloud software initiatives. Lenovo Open Cloud Automation (LOC-A) is a product based on automation and DevOps to automatically deploy and manage Cloud platforms for the customers.


As an Ansible expert, you are expected to understand feature requirements from our VMWare customers and write design documentation, Ansible playbooks, or Python scripts. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to roll up your sleeves to practice the automated deployment of various VMware products: vCenter Server, vSphere, vSAN, VMWare Cloud Foundation. A successful technical contributor at Lenovo needs to be innovative, detail-oriented, team-oriented, self-directed, and adaptable to changing business requirements.


Responsibilities:

  • Development and DevOps based on VMWare virtualization, using Infrastructure as Code
  • Develop Lenovo Open Cloud Automation to support private cloud deployment and management
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for deployment and support procedures
  • Work collaboratively with Professional Services, product managers, and architects to ensure solutions meet requirements and are extensible long-term


Position Requirements:

  • Solid software development background with Ansible and Python
  • Experience with deployment/management of different VMware products (vCenter, vSphere, vSAN, NSX etc.)
  • Experience with CI/CD Pipelines
  • Experience with developing technical documentation
  • Excellent oral and written English
  • BS or MS degree in CS/EE or related field
  • Experience in using VMware API is a plus
  • Familiarity with OpenShift, Kubernetes, OpenStack, networking concepts is a plus
