Description and Requirements


It is a key role for the success of the Global Logistics Operations. This position requires working closely with our managing vendor and our key Logistics Service Providers (LSP) whilst providing support and guidance to our extended Lenovo organization - Customer Fulfillment (CFR), Service coordinators & Claim team. This operational role focuses on delivery of customer orders across Western Europe while making sure all our processes are compliant with Customs & Foreign trade legislation. In addition, the logistic controller will bring a continuous improvement approach to operations, driving initiatives/projects to streamline logistics processes and working together with internal/external stakeholders on problem solving, always with a customer-oriented and operational excellence mindset.

From internal communication GL controller is in daily contact with the Customer fulfillment team for the responsible market. His responsibility is to provide accurate information about the deliveries and manage critical situations with late deliveries. Work closely with LSP and find a solution on business-critical orders and work on expedite deliveries to ensure the Lenovo orders are delivered to the customer on the requested deadline. Management of exception cases as incomplete shipment investigations, damaged orders, change of address requests, collection and redeliveries. Closely monitor the respective market on the PBI Resilience dashboard to mitigate the delays and proactively work with LSP on corrective actions. Effective communication with carriers and the CFR team is a key element in the role.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Daily liaison with the managing vendor and LSP’s to achieve timely delivery on agreed service level and cost
  • Be the center of competence and subject matter expert for Logistics processes for the responsible markets
  • Exception handling on shipment delays with carriers and relevant stakeholders
  • Provide weekly metrics on all key indicators and conduct root cause analysis of the late deliveries
  • Manage the critical orders for your market aligned with customer requirements, considering the most effective options
  • Participate in new projects related to Logistics process improvements
  • Participate in Monthly/Quarterly business reviews with carriers

Requirements: 
  • Previous experience in the Logistics field, collaboration with 3PL's
  • Experience with customer service
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Effective negotiation skills, a proactive and independent goal-driven approach
  • Ability to gather, analyze, monitor and document data

Base gross monthly salary starts from 1500 
EUR, depending on experience, plus a variable part of up to 12% of the annual earnings.
