As a Finance Analyst you will join Motorola Mobility, based in our brand new Farnborough office, working within the EMEA finance team. You will be supporting our Financial Planning & Analysis manager alongside the Finance Controllers of each of the individual markets within EMEA. You will be reporting to Sr Mgr Financial P&A. We are looking for an individual happy to work in a fast paced, varied and highly interactive role, who will: 
 

  • Support business, marketing and operations functions and analyze data at country, business unit, key account and product levels.
  • Gather, interpret, and evaluate financial information, including past financial data and short- to long-term financial forecasts.
  • Take a key role in the preparation, consolidation and review of monthly forecasts and annual planning cycles including finance system support and liaison with the regional and global Motorola finance colleagues.
  • Take ownership of analysis and review of operating expenses including sales, marketing and advertising budgets to assist in control and highlight variances
  • Participate in Month end & Sales analysis and review.
  • Support the customer discount and rebate process, identifying efficiencies and providing detailed analysis
  • Drive process enhancements and efficiency improvements.
  • Be proactive in the analysis of the forecast process and monthly close
  • Evaluates investments, commercial contracts and financial regulations.
  • Liaise with Credit, AR and Accounting functions to provide support to the Go-to-market team 
  • Tracking pricing against regional guidance to support forecast accuracy 

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Support Sales&Marketing Structure from a Finance stand point.
  • Developing professional expertise, apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
  • Gathers data and prepares reports and spreadsheets.
  • Provides well-informed observations, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Supports Accounting month-end closing activities.


You will: 
Hold a relevant undergraduate degree (minimum)

  • Ideally be studying CIMA / ACCA and working towards qualification
  • Have 1+ years’ experience of working within a finance department, ideally within a large matrix organisation 
  • Have strong IT / Excel skills
  • Have excellent communication skills, ready to interact with a number of stakeholders at all different levels 
  • Be an individual with an analytical mindset and a great attention to detail
